This biennial report provided a comprehensive overview of the city featuring a detailed summary of its departments, a clear vision for the future, and examples of successful community efforts providing cost effective and responsive services.
As a contracted Graphic Designer, I was tasked with improving its creative design, photography, and graphics. The process involved collaborating closely with the clients. Raw materials were supplied such as word documents and excel files. To enhance the content, I photographed relevant images and incorporated them into the design. Graphic charts were also created to improve readability and ensure an easy understanding of the information provided. The addition of creative design helped to further engage the audience and provide a visually appealing and informative layout.

As a graphic designer, crafting a comprehensive look for a client requires extensive research and ample communication.
For the cover design, I delved into the contents and searched for events and landmarks that best capture the essence of Shelton. Below are a few options, I presented them for their consideration.
I created a few interior changes to the last publications design to enhance readability and aesthetics through design changes by adopting a cleaner layout, I was able to increase the type size for better readability. Increasing the color intensity was one of my objectives with this issue it needed to have a corporate feel but also needed to be bolder. Once the design and color options were approved, I created a template in In-Design and began to organize the raw material.
The final product was for printed and mailed to the residents of Shelton and a compressed version was supplied to the client for their website.
Client submitted word and excel files from several different departments of city hall.
Some of the Images were supplied by the client. I was the photographer for the balance of photography. All were of current committees and recent development projects throughout the city. The supplied images were edited using Photoshop.
Each Departments finances were charted for this report. I created different samples for the client to choose from that complimented the theme. Once approved I exported a base from word to Illustrator where I fine-tuned and converted them in to EPS files.
